Program
The centerpiece of Live Cinema Festival 2021 program takes place from 23rd to 26th of September in the Palazzo Brancaccio that hosts 12 international scale live performances of live cinema.
Each evening performance will be preceded by the Symposium and this year’s theme is: “Seeing sounds. Performing audiovisuals in real-time, AI and cinema of the future ”. This will be a meeting where authors, curators and artists of international level are invited to discuss the synaesthetic relationship between sound and image in a real time audiovisual performance.
On the 23rd of September at the opening of the festival a guest of honor – finnish media artist and pioneer of Live Cinema, Mia Makela, will inaugurate the 8th edition of LCF with a lecture that will take us on a timeless journey into the world of audiovisual art: “In The Beginning There Was Light”.
The educational experience of Live Cinema Festival enriches the program: on 25 and 26 of September with the workshop Making Audiovisual Objects by Tadej Droljc.
The Screenings section preludes the entire kermesse, with “About Live Cinema 2021“, a preview of projections that seek to prepare the audience for the festival performances, and runs from August 16 to October 16 on the days and opening hours of the various locations: Casa dell’Architettura di Roma – Acquario Romano, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Ex Cartiera Salaria – CityLab 971, Fusolab 2.0.
