Program
The highlight of the Live Cinema Festival 2022 program takes place from Sept. 22 to 25 at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, which will host 12 audiovisual performances of international caliber.
Each evening performance will be preceded by the Symposium this year with the theme, “Music and Image: what does sound look like?” a meeting in which authors, curators and artists of international caliber are invited to discuss the synaesthetic relationship between sound and image in real-time audiovisual performance.
As guest lecture at the opening on Sept. 22 will be Elena Giulia Abbiatici, art historian, author and curator of contemporary art, with her research “The Eternal Body. Human senses as a laboratory of power, between ecological crisis and transhumanism.”
Enriching the program is Live Cinema Festival’s educational experience: on Sept. 22 and 23 with the workshop di Tom Scholefield aka Konx-om-Pax artist from the cult electronic music label Planet Mu.
Anticipating the entire kermesse is the Screenings section with “About Live Cinema 2022”, a preview of screenings aimed at preparing the audience for the festival performances from Aug. 1 to Sept. 25 on the days and at the opening times of the various locations: Casa dell’Architettura di Roma – Acquario Romano, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Casilino Sky Park, Fusolab 2.0.
