Peter Kirn is an American visualist, composer, and musician based in Berlin. He's known as the editor of createdigitalmusic.com and createdigitalmotion.com, on which he writes about the intersection of technology with music and visual creativity. He has also written for publications including Macworld, Keyboard, DE:BUG, Make, Popular Science, Wax Poetics, and Computer Music, and regularly speaks about creative tech internationally. He is the co-creator of the open source MeeBlip synthesizer.

As a music and visual artist, his work has been presented at venues including the Frequency Festival (Lincoln, UK) CommuniKey Festival (Boulder, CO), Devotion Gallery (New York), In/Out Festival (New York), InterAccess Gallery (Toronto), the Lab for Electronic Arts and Performance (Berlin), Dance Theater Workshop (New York), Boston CyberArts Festival Ideas in Motion (Boston, MA), and others.
